At Remerica Somerset Realty we list a considerable amount of real estate on and around Lake Somerset and Lake Leann, so those lakes are an important part of our business. In addition, our office is so close to these lakes that we're inherently part of the Lake Somerset and Lake Leann communities. We have Realtors at our office that live in the Lake Somerset Property Owners Association and the Lake Leann Property Owners Association Communities. Because of this we thought we'd offer a little more information about the Lakes. Lake Somerset is a 200 acre all sports lake thats good for fishing, boating, water skiing and related recreation activities. Lake Leann has a northern and southern half, each half comparible in size to Lake Somerset. The fish include Bass, Perch, Blue Gills, Sun Fish, Catfish, Walleye, and Pike, and the lakes are stocked on a regular basis. Lake Somerset and Lake Leann are private,and were developed in the late 1960's and early 1970's, though most of the houses there now were built much later - from the mid 1980's on. Most of the residents are year round with a few properties still used as summer cottages They are private lakes with association fees and all property owners are part of the Lake Somerset Property Owners Association or the Lake Leann Property Owners Association and elect individuals from the community to oversee water quality, zoning, and other community issues.
